Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council plans to install two new toucan crossings in Poole to enhance safety for pedestrians and cyclists. One will be on Parkstone Road at Birds Hill Road, linking Poole Park, supported by £300,000 in funding. The second crossing is set for Turlin Road outside Bayside Academy. These signal-controlled crossings aim to improve safety in high footfall areas, particularly near schools.
