The proposals for Poole include a high-priority toucan crossing at the Parkstone Road and Birds Hill Road junction, funded with £300,000 as of May 2025, connecting Poole Park to Birds Hill Road. Another toucan crossing is planned at Turlin Road outside Bayside Academy. These traffic light-controlled crossings improve pedestrian and cyclist safety, especially in busy areas and near schools. Residents can view detailed plans and respond to the proposals online or in writing by May 29, 2026, quoting reference C7 2026, to the BCP Civic Centre.
