YTL Construction seeks licence to extract water from Poole

YTL Construction (UK) Limited is applying to the Environment Agency for a license to abstract water from the underground Poole Formation at the Poole Water Recycling Centre. If granted, the license would allow extraction of up to 36 cubic meters per hour, totaling 864 cubic meters daily and 48,000 annually, for dewatering purposes year-round. The public can view the application documents and submit comments until June 5, quoting reference number NPS/WR/046743. Comments can be sent via email or mail to the Environment Agency’s Permitting and Support Centre in Sheffield.
