Ringwood Junior School in Hightown Road engaged students in a fundraising initiative through marathons, contributing towards an ambitious school improvement project. On April 25, 40 students participated in a mini marathon in London, finishing near Buckingham Palace. A week later, the school organized a whole-school marathon on its playing field. Students from Years 3 to 6 completed a 2.6-mile course, inspired by the London Marathon. Supported by families and staff, the school raised £5,432 towards a goal of £15,000 for the Big Build project, aimed at enhancing facilities and the learning environment. Headteacher and sports leader praised the students’ determination.
