Coastguard begins extensive search for missing wing foiler

The Southbourne Coastguard Rescue Team received a call on April 29 at 6:41 PM about a person struggling in strong offshore winds. They coordinated rescue efforts with the RNLI Mudeford lifeboat and a Coastguard helicopter, while Southbourne Surf Lifesaving Club conducted shoreline patrols. Coastguard Rescue Officers searched nearby beaches and areas, along with assistance from Lymington and Poole Coastguard teams. Later, it was confirmed that the wing foiler had safely returned to shore in Poole. With the individual accounted for, all rescue operations were called off, ensuring no further concerns remained.
