Jacqui Rix started the Rix Big Ramble 2 on March 12, one year after her husband George’s death from prostate cancer. The walk, lasting until May 11, begins in Minehead and follows the Southwest Coast Path, which George completed in 2009 for charity. Accompanied by her corgi Scrumpy, Jacqui aims to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK and local services. Daniel Heritage, from Health Sciences University, expressed pride in supporting her efforts while honoring George’s legacy. Donations can be made through givewheel.com. The finish line will be at the Bournemouth campus.
