Votes are being counted for the inaugural town council elections in Bournemouth, Poole, and Broadstone, held on May 7. A total of 50 councillors were elected from 184 candidates across 27 parish wards. This new council system was established following a contentious decision by BCP Council in 2025. The councils will be responsible for managing local services, such as parks, public toilets, allotments, and community events. Counting began at 10 AM, and residents are encouraged to stay updated through local news outlets.
