Arooj Aftab, a Brooklyn-based singer, will perform at Lighthouse Poole on June 18 with the London Contemporary Orchestra, conducted by Robert Ames. Known for her unique interpretations, Aftab recently recorded an Urdu version of Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” for Riz Ahmed’s series “Bait.” Her concert will showcase reimagined music from her acclaimed works, enhanced by orchestral elements. Aftab is also featured on the charity album “Help(2),” produced by Beck, alongside artists like Arctic Monkeys and Olivia Rodrigo.
