Poole Town Council has scheduled a Beating of the Bounds event on Saturday, May 16, to celebrate the town’s heritage and its newly defined boundaries. Mayor Councillor Mark Howell will cycle through key locations, including Upton Country Park and Branksome Dene Chine, with ceremonies at each stop. The event, rooted in Tudor-era traditions, aims to engage the community and promote local history, concluding with a civic parade led by Sheriff Councillor Karen Rampton. Families are invited to join the 33-mile journey, which also features health and wellbeing mini-events. The ride starts at 9:15 AM and wraps up by 3 PM.
