Daish’s Holidays, a family-run business in Bournemouth, reported a 14% increase in August bookings compared to 2025, driven by rising overseas travel costs and geopolitical unrest affecting fuel prices. The Imperial Hotel in Eastbourne saw a remarkable 55% rise, while the Isle of Wight property experienced a 39% increase. Other properties, including Llandudno’s Somerset Hotel and Weymouth hotels, reported increases of 20% and 10%, respectively. Commercial director Paul Harper noted a shift towards domestic travel due to concerns about disruption and financial uncertainty. Coach holidays are gaining popularity for their convenience and all-inclusive offerings.
