Richmond Park Bowls Club celebrated its 120th anniversary on April 26, with Labour MP Tom Hayes officially opening the event. The celebration featured local councillors, engaging games of bowls, a barbecue, and a raffle with prizes from local businesses. The day attracted numerous attendees, including students from Bournemouth University eager to explore the sport and interview club members. The club reported a boost in new memberships and is preparing for the Bowls England Big Weekend on May 25, which will include another barbecue for community engagement. Established in 1906, it remains one of Dorset’s oldest clubs.
