Farms receive £33,500 from Environment Agency investigation findings

Crockway Farms Ltd, Drummers Farming Limited, and Crutchley Farms Partnership in Dorset violated environmental regulations regarding slurry management. Mismanaged slurry stores caused pollution incidents, with one farm lacking a necessary permit for new facilities. All three farms agreed to funding environmental projects to avoid prosecution. Drummers Farming donated £10,000 to the Dorset Wildlife Trust after two slurry incidents affected local watercourses. Crutchley Farms contributed £7,500 following a pollution event, while Crockway Farms donated £16,000 after installing new storage without a permit. Each farm has since improved compliance with regulations to prevent future incidents.
