On May 1, emergency services were dispatched to a gas leak near Ebblake Industrial Estate in Verwood, following a car collision with a gas main around 1:30 PM. SGN was alerted by 2 PM and sent personnel to the scene. Residents of Rosebery Close were evacuated for safety, and an 80-meter exclusion zone was established by Dorset Police and the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. At 2:07 PM, a fire crew from Ferndown responded, collaborating with SGN and police to manage the situation effectively. Residents were advised to stay clear for several hours as the issue was resolved.
