Bournemouth caretaker to run ultramarathon for cancer centre

Paul O’Boyle, 61, from Liverpool, is undertaking a 100-mile challenge along Bournemouth Bay in July, following his successful treatment for nipple cancer, which involved surgery in July 2024. He aims to raise £10,000 for the Ladybird Breast Cancer Unit. Grateful for his recovery, Paul is committed to giving back and has previously raised funds by running 27 marathons in 26 days. A caretaker at Bishop Winchester Academy, he trains intensively along the Dorset coast, sharing that running has become his passion and a testament to overcoming life’s challenges, including a serious biking accident five years prior.
