A victim was deceived by a fraudster posing as Lloyds Bank, who claimed there was suspicious activity on their account. Following this, the fraudster persuaded the victim to hand over their bank cards and mobile phone to a courier, who was sent to collect them. Dorset Police are advising the public to remain vigilant as banks and police will never request bank cards, PINs, or personal devices. Residents should verify suspicious communications directly with their bank, avoid sharing sensitive information, and be cautious of high-pressure tactics. Always consult friends or family if something seems suspicious.
