Emergency services search for kitesurfer in distress

On April 29, RNLI Mudeford’s volunteer crew was tasked at 6:24 PM to assist a kitesurfer in distress offshore. The lifeboat launched at 6:52 PM and began a search pattern upon arrival by 7:00 PM, with support from HM Coastguard and local rescue teams. After an extensive search, the casualty was found safe at Sandbanks. Following confirmation of their well-being, all teams were stood down, with RNLI Mudeford concluding their operation at 8:10 PM. A spokesperson confirmed the successful outcome and safe return of the crew to the station.
