The Dorset Police Rural Crime Team is investigating an incident near Milton Abbas Lake where aggressive dogs attacked horses. On April 27, horse owners discovered damaged fencing and injuries to at least two horses, one of which, named Twig, had to be euthanized due to a broken leg. PC Kate Schofield emphasized the serious consequences of uncontrolled dogs around livestock, highlighting this as the second similar incident in a week. The police are collecting dog DNA samples from the scene and are appealing for witnesses or information regarding the dogs or their owners to come forward.
