Inquest Launched Following Man’s Death on Poole Road

A murder probe was launched following the death of 53-year-old Stephen Taylor in Poole. A man was arrested but released under investigation. Taylor, born on October 23, 1972, lived on Lakeside Road and was found unresponsive on February 1, dying later that day at Poole General Hospital. A post-mortem revealed his cause of death as hypoxic ischemic multi-organ failure, linked to acute alcohol and cocaine misuse, chronic substance misuse, fatty liver disease, and obesity. Dorset coroner Brendan Allen opened an inquest on April 28, adjourning it until October 7 for further statements from family and services involved.
