The local authority has issued a tender to find an operator for the Churchill Gardens community café, set to be leased for five years starting in September 2026. The café, located in a modular building installed in 2021/2022, includes a main area, kitchen, and community space. It will support various community activities and healthy menu options, including hot and cold foods and dietary provisions. The operator will also manage a nearby ‘grow zone’ with raised beds. Bids are due by May 29, 2026, and a $3.9 million investment is planned for upgrading local playgrounds.
