National Grid transformer causes rolling road closures in Dorset

National Grid will transport a transformer to the Mannington substation on Saturday, May 23, using a slow-moving transporter from Poole Harbour. Temporary rolling road closures will occur along the route, including locations like Blandford Road and the A35. National Grid collaborates with Allelys and local authorities to minimize disruption and ensures the delivery will not affect electricity supplies. Although slight delays may occur, they apologize in advance for any inconvenience. For questions, the community can contact National Grid’s relations team at 0800 319 6165, available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
