National Highways plans a summer of overnight road closures on the A35 from Honiton to Bere Regis for maintenance and safety improvements, starting in June and continuing into early September. Each phase will involve sections of the road being closed between 8 PM and 6 AM on weekdays, impacting local traffic and communities. The first closure runs from June 7-20, followed by closures extending to Bridport and Dorchester into August. While aiming to enhance road safety, these closures have led to disruptions for businesses and shift workers. Official diversions will be in place, and further details will be provided nearer the closure dates.
