Claire’s, a fashion accessories retailer, will close all its standalone stores in the UK and Ireland, resulting in about 1,300 job losses. The only remaining store is in Poole, Dorset. This decision follows the company entering administration under Modella Capital and hiring Kroll to manage the process. Despite the closures, Claire’s 356 concessions, particularly in Asda, and its head office remain unaffected. As of April 27, all store employees have been notified of their redundancy, although discussions are ongoing with potential landlords to secure new leases for some locations.
