Lewis-Manning Hospice Care has partnered with Rising Voices Wessex to establish the Lewis-Manning Rising Voices Choir, providing musical, emotional, and social support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families in east Dorset and Purbeck. CEO Clare Gallie emphasizes a holistic approach to care, highlighting the health benefits of singing, such as mood enhancement and reduced loneliness. The choir, founded in 2012, aims to foster community and understanding among its members. Weekly rehearsals will take place on Tuesday evenings, welcoming those impacted by cancer, illness, or bereavement, alongside their families and carers.
