Bournemouth School for Girls students recognised as STEM finalists

Students from Bournemouth School for Girls have reached the finals of The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition 2026 with their project, “Carbon Monoxide Group.” They are among 12 finalists selected from over 800 entries, competing for prestigious awards, including the UK Young Scientist of the Year. The finals will feature an awards ceremony at The Big Bang Fair from June 9 to 11 in Birmingham, where finalists will present their projects to industry professionals. Each category winner will receive a trophy and £1,000 prize money. Congratulations to all participants for their creativity and passion in STEM.
