BCP Council has prohibited employees from working abroad, ending informal arrangements that allowed a few to do so. All staff have been notified that previous agreements are no longer valid. Employees needing to travel abroad for personal reasons are advised to use annual leave, compassionate leave, or career breaks. The council noted that only a small number of employees had been working overseas prior to this policy change.
