Starting November 10, 2026, Ryanair will close airport check-in and bag drop desks 60 minutes before flight departures, up from 40 minutes. This change aims to allow customers more time to clear security and reduce missed flights due to queue delays. Chief Marketing Officer Dara Brady emphasized that this adjustment benefits the 20% of customers who check in bags, while the 80% who check in online remain unaffected. Additionally, Ryanair will increase self-service bag drop kiosks across its network, enhancing efficiency and further minimizing wait times, especially during busy travel periods.
