Three wheelchair users from Marjorie House in Poole participated in the inaugural Sunset Walk on April 17, organized by Forest Holme Hospice Charity, alongside staff and over 450 participants. The event, which raised over £17,500 for the hospice, featured a 5km and 8km route from Branksome Dene Chine. Resident Myrna expressed gratitude for being included, despite cloudy weather obscuring the sunset. Marjorie House staff provided refreshments at a midpoint. Home manager Georgie Powell highlighted the joy residents experienced alongside the community, emphasizing the event’s uplifting atmosphere in honor of a significant cause.
