Loose horses on Wessex Way create chaos for drivers

On April 21, just before noon, a herd of 15 to 20 loose horses was spotted on the A338 heading towards Bournemouth. In response, Dorset Police closed the road from Ringwood Road to near Castle Lane, causing significant delays for motorists, many of whom exited their vehicles during the wait. Lee Foulkes, who was at the front of the standstill, captured a photo of the horses and only had to wait about 10 minutes for the road to reopen by 2:30 PM. The RSPCA later contacted the horses’ owner regarding the incident.
