In 2024/25, nearly seven million individuals participated in NHS bowel screening, an increase from approximately 4.7 million in 2014/15. The program has detected 70,000 bowel cancer cases since its inception 20 years ago and has provided ongoing monitoring for 270,000 people identified as higher-risk.
