Huw Miles, managing partner of Paris Smith, completed a 50-mile hike between the firm’s offices in Winchester, Southampton, and Bournemouth to raise £2,440 for Heartbeat’s 3D heart project. The trek took place over two days, from April 11 to 12. Miles emphasized the importance of physical activity for cardiac health and expressed satisfaction with the fundraising result. The project uses 3D models from 2D scans to help surgeons practice complex operations on young patients, improving their chances of success. Heartbeat’s CEO, Mark Ind, praised Miles’ efforts for significantly impacting the cardiac community.
