The council is consulting on granting legal easements for utility companies to lay and maintain services beneath public open space, specifically Kings Park. As this land is classified as open space, any granted rights are considered a “disposal” of land, although surface use will remain unchanged. Residents can express their opinions—support, objection, or comment—by sending written representations to the planning and contracts manager at BCP Council via post or email by 12pm on May 7.
