Weymouth man sentenced for image offences

Coby Roper, a 21-year-old man from Weymouth, was sentenced for six offences related to indecent images of children. At Bournemouth Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to making and distributing a total of 1,879 images across categories A, B, and C, with category A being the most serious. He received a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years, requiring him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and 10 rehabilitation days. Additionally, Roper will be on the sex offenders register and under a sexual harm prevention order for ten years, facing imprisonment if he reoffends during the suspension period.
