A police investigation is underway in Weymouth following an assault on a 19-year-old man, who suffered a suspected stab wound. Officers responded to reports near the junction of Dorchester Road and Melcombe Avenue at 9:16 PM on Thursday. The man was taken to the hospital but his injuries are described as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. Dorset County CID is leading the investigation and has established a cordon at the scene. As of now, no arrests have been made, but there will be an increased police presence in the area to reassure the public and gather information.
