PC Ross from Bournemouth Police conducted a foot patrol and noticed a vehicle parked on zig-zag markings outside a pedestrian crossing. The officer emphasized that these markings signify a legal prohibition against parking, ensuring clear visibility for pedestrians and vehicles. Stopping or parking in these areas, especially near children, increases collision risks. Dorset Police reiterated the importance of keeping these zones clear for safety. The driver, who was reportedly inside a nearby barbershop, was dealt with appropriately by the police, highlighting the enforcement of traffic regulations for pedestrian safety.
