Thousands expected at annual Scouts Parade celebration

The St George’s Day Parade in Bournemouth, scheduled for April 26 at 10:00 am, will begin at West Cliff Gardens and conclude at the Bournemouth bandstand with a ceremony. Over 1,000 Scouts and volunteers from 24 groups will participate, celebrating the movement’s history which originated in 1907 on nearby Brownsea Island. The event includes Scouts from all sections, reaffirming their ‘Scout Promise’ and presenting awards, such as the Endeavour Award for exceptional commitment. The parade highlights Scouts’ dedication to community service, personal development, and adventure, and is open to the public to encourage support.
