Food waste collections expand across BCP

Weekly food waste collections are now expanding across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. With the new service, homes in Poole and flats in Bournemouth can recycle food waste, increasing participation by over 100,000 households. Dedicated food waste lorries will collect waste on the same day as regular rubbish and recycling. This initiative creates a unified recycling system across the region, simplifying the process for residents. Kate Langdown, Director of Environment, called the expansion a positive step for communities, emphasizing that food waste recycling is an easy habit for residents, contributing to a collective positive impact.
