Jessica Toale supports government measures to combat knife crime

Jessica Toale, Labour MP for Bournemouth West, supports new government actions aimed at halving knife crime, which has already decreased by eight percent. She emphasizes the need for further measures, especially for youth violence, stating that knife crime impacts community safety. The updated strategy includes specialist support for 250 schools, with intensive measures for the 50 most challenging. Initiatives like a Safety In & Around Schools Partnership, backed by £1.2 million, will enhance safety during school commutes. Additionally, over £34 million is allocated to tackle County Lines gangs, focusing on education to prevent knife crime.
